On behalf of the Saint Norbert Priory of the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and supported our Pancake Breakfast this past Sunday, May 17, 2026. It was a joy to see our community come together in fellowship and shared purpose. Because of your incredible generosity, the event was an overwhelming success, raising over $3,100 to bring comfort and joy to children facing difficult health challenges.
The entirety of these proceeds will be used to purchase and distribute teddy bears for ill children, providing them with a source of warmth and companionship during their hospital stays. We are especially proud to announce that we are partnering with Shriners Children’s Hospital for this initiative. Shriners has a legendary legacy of providing world-class, compassionate care to children regardless of a family’s ability to pay, and we are honored to support their vital mission.
As Templars, our contemporary mission is rooted deeply in charity, service, and the protection of the vulnerable. This initiative perfectly aligns with those values, allowing us to turn our collective faith into tangible action for the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community. A teddy bear may seem like a small gesture, but to a child in a hospital bed, it represents a powerful reminder that they are loved, prayed for, and not alone.
Thank you once again to our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly in the kitchen, the local businesses that provided supplies, and every individual who purchased a ticket or made a donation. Your kindness has ensured that hundreds of children will have a reason to smile during a challenging time. May God bless you for your generosity, and we look forward to gathering with you again at our future Priory events.
